Karen Summers – Senior Consultant
Karen Summers is a qualified and experienced HR professional and Executive Coach. After fifteen years in senior human resources roles, with well known blue chip companies including Total E&P UK, she moved into consultancy, specialising in working with business leaders, HR professionals and senior executives.
She has strong organisational development experience, and a track record in employee resourcing and development.
Karen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD). She also mentors senior HR Professionals through a fast-track competence-based route to CIPD Mentorship. She holds a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management.
Karen has extensive strategic-level corporate experience across a wide range of business sectors including in the oil & gas, rail, health, retail, catering, charity and training. Most recently, and prior to working as a consultant, she worked for an oil and gas major as their Head of Training & Development. This included leading projects to hire and retain young professional talent and acting as career manager for over 100 staff.

- Designing and facilitating a challenging and business-focussed event for a high performing team who regularly achieve scorecard results of 98% from their key client but who strive for higher levels of excellence
- Change management consultancy in a wide range of different organisations
- Strategic workforce analysis for a public sector health trust
- Leading a national development and assessment centre service for a rail freight transportation company
